Do you remember your teenage idols? In Finland we use to get magazines, Soundi and Intro, that came with posters that you could hang on your walls.
In my room the walls were draped with pictures of Donny Osmond, bands called Slade and Sweet. Mostly pretty boys with a lot of hair.
As I got older the idols got a bit cooler, Marc Bolan from the Band T’Rex and Bryan Ferry. Oh, and of course David Bowie. Funny, you could almost say that my style is a mixture of the styles of these guys.

And what about now? One of today’s huge idol crazes is, besides Taylor Swift who speaks to all ages and everybody, all about K-Pop stars that get invited to the big fashion brand’s shows and attract crowds of fans outside who probably spread the word of said high end fashion brands to the world via their social media.
I went to Milan a couple of weeks ago for the Mens’ collection and – o’boy- did things go wild.
One of the stars attending were Bang Chan (his IG here) who, according to my knowledgeable K-Pop sources, aka Amanda Kokko, is a member of the Korean band Stray Kids (instagram followers 30 millions! ) which is among the Top 3 most popular K-Pop groups in the world. According to the decibel volume of the girl’s screams the group might have risen to number one by now.

The amount of heavy serious security men the brands have to have to keep the fans back seems to be worth it. Bang Chan has about 8 million followers that now have seen his Fendi outfit. Probably his Gucci outfit as well. And Prada.

He just went up to them and said hello. Seems like a whirlwind of all kind of feelings. I might want to be there. With them.
