Hello You’re on My Sthlm Hot List!

From small trendy fashion signals -like unbuttoned- to hotter than July floating saunas and one sizzling new restaurant on Södermalm. And for extra bonus, one book trend spotted!

1/ Comfort first, right? Unbutton this trend

I guess I did this trend for comfort. Didn’t know I was being cool too.

Just have a look at these gorgeousnesses waiting for the bus by Slussen.

2/ Sauna, sauna and sauna

August looking set to be hotter than July! The floating Sthlm Sauna in Vinterviken is fabulous. So is my friend Eleonor who will always be on my Stockholm Hot-list. Check out the colourful Silk Kimonos they sell in her and her colleague Camilla’s hair Salong Nytid on Tegnérgatan 10 where they do hair with only organic products. The waiting list for a do is long but you can always try. You can see the kimonos on their Instagram. Link here.

For membership to the Sthlm Sauna, there Instagram here. Heard they wanted to build one on Kungsholmen as well but that was stopped by the locals. Come on, go give longevity by Sauna a chance. According to my son Amos and his extensive internet research, Sauna can give you a healthier and longer life. So get on the boat Kungsholmen, and let there be Sauna, for the space of one tiny boat place, also on your island.

Ps You are suppose to keep the fire going. Read the rules, I forgot so a Finnish sauna pro had to get down on all four to get the fire going again. Warning! It will get hot because it is still a Finnish Sauna.

For more information on how to become a member of Sthlm Sauna click this link. On Wednesdays between 17-19 you can book the sauna even if you aren’t a member.

3/ It’s not what you read it’s that you read and where!

Everybody is reading and everybody is reading outside. In cafés, on the buses, on park benches, while walking. Hi book, everybody’s new best friend. For me reading works as brain repair. So I’d like to think. Just finished Fresh Water for Flowers by the French author Valérie Perrin. Violette is the keeper of a cementery in a small French town. Friendship, tragic marriage, sorrow, grief and joy.

4/ My new local hangout! It’s a feast on Ringvägen

Everyone needs a non-pretentious local hangout. In my Sthlm hoods there are many cool ones. Me, I need a slightly warmer one so I feel I can go and take a drink there by myself, obviously with my book. And now I got one, just in the building next door to where I live.

Bistro Bacchanale is a down to earth place with an open kitchen and wooden, a bit chunky chairs, that to me looked a bit uncomfortable but obviously weren’t since the place was packed when we went there with Miina. Just Negronis this time. Check Bistro Bacchanale out on Instagram here. They also have a separate back room if you go with a larger group and want some privacy. Founded by the guys behind Främmat, a French inspired mixed style food restaurant in Vasastan.
