Some people are like a whirl wind romance, sweeping you off your feet before you have time to blink, some are like a quick flirty glance on the other side of a horse shoe shaped bar desk, some is that date who only talks about themselves, some are the one that listen to me only talk about myself and some become your most valued and loved friends forever. And ever.

But all of the people in front of my camera I meet for real in a moment of connection. Love my job!

1/ Vilma Jää, a contemporary folks music singer who recently performed Kaija Saariaho’s composition Innocence at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Here she is sporting a Chanel handbag in an elevator in Helsinki. Style by Liisa Kokko and make up and hair by Piia Hiltunen.

2/ Kjell Skoglund, the CEO of Finnish-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, a late summer afternoon, just in the yard outside my studio.

3/ Johannes Holopainen, the winner of the Finnish version of Dancing with the Stars this year. He is also and mostly a super multi talented actor. Here in my studio and yes, I made him dance with me and it was an unforgettable moment.

4/ I have been taking countless pictures of actress Laura Birn since the beginning of time. Lately she has been smooshing briefly with Penelope’s husband Javier Bardem in a Spanish movie called El ser querido. Next I will search for and watch the documentary about the Finnish artist Iria Leino where Laura portraits the model turned artist who lived in New York and created amazing abstract and spiritual pieces of art.

5/ That would be Kjell Skoglund again, in his jefe mode.

6/ Yes, Laura does animal fashion print superbly as well.

7/ Soft spoken Alma Pöysti, this time giving boss vibes! Soon also in the movie Tell everyone by Alli Haapasalo where she portraits the kind nurse.

8/ Did you know that Eva Röse is the President of the Republic of Jämtland, a part of Sweden? Well, of course this is only play. Her role as the police woman Maria Wärn is serious stuff though. Handling guns, jumping fences and chasing baddieand what not.
